HOW FAR CAN NATURE GO GO GO?? WOAH THIS IS NOT A RE-POST SHMOE

I believe the line is crossed once we start tampering with human nature in particular. As a race we are far superior than any other being on this earth. I understand this point can be debated upon, but what can't be debated is our intellectual ability. Creating new body parts for medical science is fine, creating a new being for medical science is a big no no. I think we give ourselves to much power, and when it reaches a certain point, we lose all control. Frankenstein had no control over his creation, and his creation couldn't control himself, killing Frankenstein's brother, due to his child-like nature. I understand now that we take too great of a risk when it comes to re-animation of the tissue. The outcome could be truly horrific.

HOW FAR CAN NATURE GO GO GO??

Nature is a very unique subject in how the slightest manipulation can have dire consequences. Nature is linked together by billions of chains, each on representing a different plant or animal. Hen we destroy one chain, all others must adapt or die. Tampering with nature can be taken to any level, as long as it is done with good intentions. For example, resurrecting a dead species of animal, or plant, or replanting a forest. Nature is something that is best used for the good of mankind, and not against one another. Resurrecting an army of dead people to fight against another country is ethically and morally insane. When a person dies, it should be left dead. However, it the case of plants and animals, one must take a second guess, for it is humans who do most of the killing. With our power, maybe we should be able to recreate life for the benefit of our planet, which is so desperate for salvation at this moment. Tampering with nature would always be left to good hearted professional and those who care about earth.

P&P Blog THREE

Oh how things have change so fast! Elizabeth has gone to visit Darcy's estate, Pemberley, with the Gardiners, and upon her arrival, is utterly awed by it's size and beauty. How the book describes Pemberley is odd. One would expect to call in ostentatious, however, it is very tastefully decorated and reserved. The detail in which it goes to descirbe the house is also a surprise. Pride and Prejudice seems to want to make a point. I believe it's meant to be a reflection of Darcy, and wouldn't you believe it, he magically appears! To further surprise us, Darcy is very well mannered, and polite! Of course, things were very akward between Darcy and Elizabeth. Elizabeth returns to her inn with a heavy head. She now has some good feelings for the man, even to the point that if Darcy proposed to her again, Elizabeth would except. Unfortunately, there would be a whole world of drama waiting for her back at teh inn. She got a letter from Jane informing her that Lydia had eloped with Wickham and that they both have dissapeared. The entire Bennet's reputation is at stake. :<

P&P Blog TWO

Oh woe is Jane! Mr. Bingley has seeming run off without a trace. I honestly thought that Mr. Bingley really like Janne, and I know Jane really liked Mr. Bingley. Anyway, life goes on for the Bennets. I suspected that Mr. Wickham would have had something to do with it. However, i would be very misled. We are introduced to a new character Mr. Collins, who would be inherit the Bennet's property. I find him to be a prick and a suck up to EVERYONE. Also, he is quite akward. I dan't care what happens to him, just as long as he doesn't end up with Elizabeth. Already he has proposed to her. THANK GOODNESS she refused. Well, this was no surprise. Mr. Collins both bored and embarrassed her. Also, Elizabeth received another proposal...from Mr. Darcy! This was quite a pleasant suprise to me as the reader, not so much for Elizabeth. She denied his proposal outright! THough, it seem this was a nessacary step in the novel. Despite being smacked in the face by Elizabeth (figuratively speaking), Darcy sent Elizabeth a letter trying to explain everytihng. Boy did it make me mad! :(

P&P blog ONE

Pride and Prejudice has become all the more enjoyable as i read further into the book. It started off kinda slow and unappealing to me. The relationship between Mr. and Ms. Bennett i found quite amusing. Elizabeth is without a doubt the most interesting characters. May I add that there is anything but a shortage of characters in the this novel. Any whom, the Bennett's situation is not uncommon of the Victorian era. The theme of having to have the daughter's married off is nothing new. However, this is one of the first works to have it as the centerpiece of the novel. So, im intriqued to what the twist is. The current situation presented to Elizabeth has sparked my interests. Certain recent events in the novel have caused me to second  guess some of the character's persona. As it seems, there is something Mr. Wickham is trying to hide from us. I hope to soon find out what it is!

Robinson Crusoe...or Robinson Cru-so-so?

It's still early in the novel, but I believe i have a clear understanding of what type of person he is. Like most youngins, he has ambition. His ambition goes beyond his father's wishes for him to live a life in "the middle ground". Law has no appeal to him, for he longs for a life at sea. However, from his storm experience, I think Crusoe has a vague fear of religion. Not so much of religion itself, but of his fate. It's hard to tell, but i believe Crusoe feels a bit of guilt for denying his father's wishes and going of chasing his own wild fantasy. Though now stranded on an island alone, I think we'll get to see alot of maturing being done in this young man.

THE FINALE WOOHOO...well kinda

To be honest, i was still riding the tidal wave created by section 3 into section four. I had to keep reading after such an amazing climax. Any whom, i believe section 4 provided an appropriate conclusion to the novel. As we know Tarig and Laila flee from Kabul and set themselves up in a hotel in Murree (not sure where that is). This is there home for the next year or two. The next really important event is when Laila and Tariq hear that America has declared war on the Taliban. Laila hopes that this is a good thing and contemplates returning to Kabul. Finally Tarig and Laila DO return and set themselves up a modest home for which their family can live in. They both become heavily involved in rebuilding their community, esspecially the orphanage where Aziza was kept. And would you beleive it! Laila becomes pregnant again! If its a boy, she say, her name will be Mariam....how sweet :)

OMG SPLENDID SUNS...1000 OF THEM! Part 3

Wow......WOW!!! i was so impressed by part three of the novel.....i even cried at the end! What could possibly provoke such a reaction from me? Well, it has to do with all the build up that would lead to an amazing-jaw dropping heart-lifting violent and sad series of events that would lead me to cry. I feel the best point in the novel to pick up from is when the Taliban march into town. This is what i believe to be the pinnacle of the terror that reigns over Laila and Mariam's life. At the peak of all this caos, Laila gives birth to another child, this time a boy who they name Zalmai whom Rasheed ADORES and buy him everything, even a tv which is banned by the Taliban. Even as the drought forces the family into debt Rasheed still struggles to provide for his son...

THAT'S IT!! I can't wait any longer! Ok, so the drought stinks and everyone is miserable UNTIL....we find out TARIQ IS ALIVE!!! Tariq come and goes while Rasheed is at work telling his story to Laila and vice versa. Everything is fine UNTIL this little brat tattle tales on Laila, Rasheed atempts to strangle her to death, then Mariam takes a shovel to Rasheed's head killing him yay! But things aren't so good. Mariam and Laila are left with a dead body of a man. Mariam says she'll sacrifice herself, basically, so Laila and Tariq can flee from the country; this is where the tears set in.

This section was just and emotional roller coaster. We I read the part when we found out Tariq was alive I could not have been woken up any harder than if someone put some thumb tacks in my chair! I am so happy I had the opportunity to read this section without it be spoiled! :)

A Life Worth Living is a World of Happieness :)

Happieness makes life worth living. How you achieve happieness is up to each individual person, yet for me it would be contributing to something greater than yourself. To make your lofe better you must help to make other's lives better as well.

Woman in TFA :'[

Woman live a rather oppressive life in Things Fall Apart. They barely have any will of their own, as it seems at times. Men have control over what role they will have in the village. Woman are restricted from many privileges such as entering the sacred hut. Also, woman are used as "bargaining chips". For example, earlier in the novel when a neighboring tribe killed someone from Okankwo's village, then they request a virgin from them as a settlement.
